PUBLIC SEMINARS

Occasionally we offer open registration training programs so one or a few individuals from an organization may participate along with people from other organizations. This helps to meet the need for training when the budget will not cover the cost of an internal program or when only a few people may need the training. We are an approved provider of recertification credits for those with PHR / SPHR / GPHR certification! The 2-day programs below will earn 14 hours – the 1-day program will earn 7 hours.
These public seminars also create an opportunity for you to experience and evaluate our training to help you decide if the training we provide is appropriate to bring into your organization.
The programs below are available in the future. If you would like more information please send us an email message with your questions. See below for a brochure.
Registration: If you want to register for the program send us an email message with the names of the participants, the organization name and address, phone number and email address for us to communicate with each registrant to confirm the registration and provide details about the location, times, etc.
Payment: If you prefer to have us send you an invoice for payment of the registration fee, please state that in your message. If you wish to pay the fee with a credit card just click on the "Buy Now" button beneath the description of the seminar below.

The following seminars are planned for the Fall of 2007.

Communication Skills for Effective Teamwork. Calling a group a "team" does not make them an effective team! Productive teamwork requires a number of communication and interpersonal skills most have not had the opportunity to learn. This seminar fills that gap with real "how to" training to help any team member contribute more effectively. If the whole team participates they will learn how to communicate and collaborate for greater success immediately upon returning to work!
See the brochure for an outline. Click on the link above. Attendance limited to 16 people to assure maximum involvement and effective learning.
Date: October 1-2, 2007 in Denver Fee: $365.00 per person (includes workbook and assessments)

Respectful Relationships (the positive approach to ending sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace). Lecturing employees about the laws and policies, showing a video with examples of people behaving badly, and telling them to behave themselves when they return to work does not produce behavior change! This seminar provides up to date information about the laws regulating workplace behavior in a brief, entertaining and sometimes funny presentation by a former EEOC trial attorney who helps people understand what behaviors are prohibited and how their personal careers can be affected as well as their employer. Most of the day is devoted to learning "What to Do & How to Do It" to assure that interactions with others will be perceived as appropriate and respectful, which means that no one will file charges!
By learning how to interact with others using interpersonal skills to communicate successfully and respectfully, others will feel respected, trusted and valued rather than be offended! This training has been used by Colorado State Employees Credit Union, Markley Motors, Flood & Peterson Insurance, Jefferson County, Arapahoe County and others.
Date: October 12, 2007 in Boulder Fee: $125.00 per person (includes workbook)
